Ultrasonic Bark control?

A few questions. Do they work? Are they safe for the dogs? Are they cruel, does it hurt the dogs? Which devices are the best? Would you recommend for a dog with out of control barking? Any one who owns one? What do you think? Thank you very much.

I can only tell you my personal experience. I bought one for one of my dogs. I walk them very late at night due to a medical condition of mine. Anyway, she tends to bark at who knows what and I didn't want to disturb the neighbors. I used it twice! Yes, it hurts. (at least the smaller dogs) It started to change her personality and when I asked her if she wanted to go for a walk, she ran and hid, whereas before she would get SO excited. That was enough for me! I returned it.

Nothing replaces good old fashioned training. If you put the time in - you will have a wonderful, obedient dog.
