Stop Your Dog From Barking
If you're a hunter, a barking dog at home is more than just a mild annoyance because if he's barking while you're hunting, it can ruin your hunting trip. It can be very inconvenient for the hunter when his dog is unable to control is barking.
There are several ways to train your dog to not bark. One of the options that is available to you is a dog bark collar which works by teaching the dog through negative reinforcement that barking simply is not acceptable.
You have a choice of two types of dog bark collars to teach your dog not to bark, or not to bark when it is not appropriate. They are safe to use and are effective for dogs, whether it is for your hunting dog or a pet at home.

Electronic Dog Bark Collars
The electronic bark collars will send a jolt to your dog if he is barking. Although you may think this is cruel, be assured that the jolt is actually very gentle and will not cause injury to your dog in any way, shape or form. work by emitting a jolt into your dog when he barks.
The premise of the electronic bark collars is that the dog gets a ‘jolt’ when he barks (inappropriately) and by repeated reinforcement of this same pattern (i.e. a jolt when barking) the dog will realize that it’s not acceptable for him to be barking.
Most electronic bark collars come with a range of jolts from extremely mild (for smaller dogs) to higher velocity jolts for much larger dogs. When you first put the collar on your dog you should always start out with the very lowest setting until you determine which level works best to control your dog.
A spray bark collar is the choice for many dog owners who simply cannot bear the idea of ‘jolting’ their dog with an electronic collar. Regardless of how humane the electronic collars are touted to be, many people still cannot get over the entire notion of jolting their dog with electricity. In that case, spray collars which contain citronella are often the collar of choice for dog owners seeking to control their dogs barking.
The citronella spray collar works similar to the electronic barking collar in that when the dog barks the collar produces a sensation that is not pleasant for the dog – in this case a spray of citronella into his face. Most dogs find this smell very unpleasant and will eventually stop barking (since the barking is what creates the citronella spray). These collars are effective for all size dogs up to 160 pounds.

However, it's very hard when your dog barks at every small movement or sound when you're hunting. A dog bark collar may be helpful to you when you're out hunting.
