Nintendo Wii Is Fabulous Fun For Everyone

We here at the Wii Showroom have researched the pros and cons of owning a Wii. I will start off by first stating why you should maybe NOT buy a Wii Console (i.e. the Cons). Hmmm...Hmmm...Hmmm...Pondering....Hmmm...there might be a minor issue here and there, but it will be a total waste of time even writing about the cons as they are hardly worth a mention and besides which console does not have one or two flaws.

So lets focus on the pros and why we fully believe owning your own Wii will bring you hours of fun entertainment. NINTENDO WII IS FOR EVERYONE - irrespective of whether you are a hard core 35 year old gamer still living in your old lady's basement because of your gaming obsession or if you are a grandpa who is as scared of anything remotely technology related like someone who is allergic to bee's, and every time you see a console you go running as if it is the mother of all bee hives. The Wii has such a diverse collection of games and is so easy, interactive and fun to play with its intuitive motion controls that everyone in the family, whether it be the hard core gamer nephew or gramps, will enjoy some or other aspect of it.

Wii Games are as much fun to play one up as what they are to watch Grandpa playing Wii Fit, showing off his 1939 boxing moves from back in the day – difference is now you can actually watch him do it instead of just having too listen to his stories. All he has to do is pick-up the Nunchuks and throw a couple of punches - nothing can be easier. Zero previous gaming experience needed - just gramps memory of his boxing skills. The point I’m trying to make is that the magnificent Wii gaming console delivers a fun social activity for the whole family and must surely be the only gaming console that can bridge generation gaps so easily because of its user friendliness. If you don't enjoy it you probably also don't like puppies, ice cream or having fun - in which case you’re a lost cause anyways, so sorry, nothing (not even 1000 free Wii games) or no-one will be able to help your grumpy ass (excuse my french, but some folks just don't get it).

Lets quickly touch base on a couple of Wii Games. I will try to keep it brief so as not to bore you with too many details, but at the same time still try to give you a better understanding as to why wii (and by wii I mean we...get it… wii we wii we wii we, sorry getting a bit carried away with a lame cheesy joke hey?).....why we fully believe this console bridges the generation gap far better than any other cosole.

You will struggle not too find at least one Wii game that you don't enjoy. From the legendary Mario Bros to Sports Games, Racing Games and Adventure Games, to jamming with Guitar Hero. There is definitely a game available for everyone in the Wii collection and too many to mention here (please refer to the Wii Showroom game pages after reading this article to check out some of the best games available). In my fav game of all time, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Mario can roll on a ball through a treacherous garden, or surf on a ray in the clouds across an ocean, or even float in a bubble over a poisonous swamp as you travel from one galaxy to the next. This game is probably not for the technology phobies though, but with such awesome graphics I'm sure they will enjoy watching a bit as junior goes space hopping. There is also a great variety of other Mario games available ranging from Mario Party to Super Mario Bros.

Everybody has a favourite song right? If that's indeed true, then the next family get together does not necessarily have to be boring, as long as you have Wii Guitar Hero 5. The family can either rock together as a band depending on which instrument controllers you have or they can each be a rockstar in their own right. Uncle John can have everyone in stitches when he sings his favourite and ridiculously funny Bob Dylan song. The wii Showroom and Nintendo irrevocably deny any responsibility for the pain and suffering caused by Uncle Tim And Aunty Sylvia's duet, which probably sounds more like two Crows fighting over some food than a rock song. You can hand the mic to anyone to sing, but don't forget this action is totally at your own risk. Fun and laughter is however a guarantee with this get the party started game!

The other game that deserves a mention as it's totally different to anything out there is Wii Fit. Now you'll probabbly think I'm crazy, but thanks to Wii exercising has become a whole lot more fun than it use to be? I think because there is a bit of a mindshift from exercise to playing games, expectations are for something fun and that just changes everything. Before you know it you will be on the balance board doing yoga, skateboarding, rhythm kung fu, aerobics or any of the other exercise type gaming options vailable. Just by playing a few games you'll be working up a sweat, you heart will be getting some exercise and Mr.Couch Potatoe will be doing some exercises without even noticing it. Even though there are a couple of tougher workouts available you shouldn't expect to become super fit, but at least you'll be doing something to improve your general health and having fun....I'm being dead serious....exercise while you’re having fun. Impossible? Just give it a shot, you have nothing to loose or do you (LOL).

Another factor that not everyone always considers when it comes to gaming, but is very important to me personally is time limitation. Finding time for gaming in todays fast paced world isn't easy. Most of us just don't have time to become hard core gamers. With our hectic daily lives and responsibilities like work, going to the shops for groceries, studying, family responsibilities, those boring household chores etc. etc. etc.....all that us normal folk (non hard core gamers) want, is a user friendly, but still a little challenging gaming console, to relax with while we escape a bit from the daily hussle and bussle that is our lives. Nintendo Wii Games provides all of that with the added bonus of being able to provide an awesome interactive social experience. But don't let this give you any false impressions of the Wii Console. It's just so versatile and unique that anyone can play it irrespective of whether it is the first time your touching a remote controller or the 1000th time you're doing it. I think it is therefore safe to say that Wii is probably the best all round gaming console available today.

Fans of the other consoles can play down the Wii all they want to, but the fact remains: The Nintendo Wii is the most user friendly gaming option around for the average Joe (with the option to take it up a level if you wish to and have the time). Then I feel I must point out one more fact that you might not be aware of.....Nintendo Wii is the fastest selling gaming console of all time. These are the facts and as they say the proof is in the pudding. Millions upon millions of people have bought and are already enjoying the Wii and surely millions more will. It's of course entirely up to you whether you want to become one of the millions of people who's experienced this awesome gaming console. Nintendo Wii is truly for you, and me, and everyone out there who wants to enjoy gaming.. So what are you waiting for?
