Look Out For Your Pets At Home
It pays to be aware of the fact that pets can be injured by a surprising amount of things found in the home. The majority of us are probably aware of incidents involving cats taking naps in integrated washing machines and the unpleasant after effects. However, this is, of course, not the only potential danger that household pets can face.
Don't forget that pets are just as much at risk from suffering electric shocks as people. Therefore it's a good plan to make sure that no wires are left where they can be chewed, any unattended appliances are turned off and unplugged in case they are accidentally switched back on and any empty plug sockets safely covered.
While cats are often the most frequent victims of household incidents, dogs tend to have their fair share of mishaps. It is our canine friends' fondness for eating pretty much anything that most frequently causes them problems. Nearly all household cleaning substances are highly dangerous if ingested, and this can even occur indirectly (for example by a pet licking their paws after walking through some). Also certain kinds of food that is perfectly safe for humans can be poisonous for pets; don't ever feed them chocolate, for example.
To summarise, you must always be vigilant for potential dangers to your pet around the home. Ensure you have checked such appliances as washing machines or tumble dryers before use; cats or other small pets enjoy the warmth and so will often try and nap there. It's always better to be safe than sorry.
