What kinda pet puppy should i gift my best buddy?
I'm planning on gifting my buddy with a puupy...but im stumped on which breed i shud buy...can somebody please suggest what breed i shud buy.....other than a pomerian.....i'd b grateful if u wud also mention how much it wud cost me approximately n wer can i buy good breeds in mumbai??? thanx a million....
First does your buddy WANT a puppy...if you don't know find out first, to save your friend some trouble but most of all to save a puppy from having a very bad experience.
Second what kind of place does your buddy have...is it country with lots of running room, or an apartment where running outside is very limited?
Third, are there OTHER animals at your friends house...some breeds do better with other animals than other breeds do?
Fourth, What is your friend LIKE as a person? Do they like a dog that "cuddles" with them, or an aggressive breed for a watch dog? Or do they like to hunt...fish, etc...
All of these questions must be considered to make sure the dog is a breed that will easily become part of the family with little problem. If your friend lives in an apartment, it would not be wise to get a big dog that needs a lot of running space, or an aggressive breed that MIGHT make contact with other tennants. Some aggressive breeds do not do well with other animals, such as cats, chickens, etc...
If your friend is on a farm...their is no better breed than the border collie or Labrador. But they are large dogs that will eat a lot...will that be a problem.
I suggest you going to the library and looking at books that give general discriptions of dogs and what their natural nature is before you make your decison. This is AFTER you talk to your friend and consider his or her living situation toward making a choice, also. Having a dog is NOT like giving someone a key chain or other thing...animals are alive, have feelings, needs and intelligence. This gift can be a NIGHTMARE if you don't choose well...but if your friend loves animals and you choose well, it could be the best thing that has ever happened to their life! Without the pets I have had in my lifetime, I would not be the person I am today...they truly can be a wonderful gift if you value them and respect them.
