Speakers Keep Making A continuous Bass When I turn My car Off?
Ive just installed An amp and speakers in My car its Hooked Up to a stock delco radio and the problem im having is i cant seem to get the Amp to turn off and stay off when the car is off. I have a remote level conntrol hooked up to the amp also, when the remote is hooked in to the amp and the ignition is off the speakers make a pop sound every 5 seconds once i remove the level remote the speakers make continuous bass. So how can i get my amp to just shut off when the car is off?
ive installed the blue wire already to an ignition switch on the radio could i have a bad remote wire?
I have also removed The blue wire form the Amp and when i did so the Amp Stayed on for a few seconds then cut off for about 7 then turns on again
Since this is a stock head unit there is a lot of contributor that could be causing this. Where exactly did you install the blue wire to in the vehicle? What I would guess is that the blue wire is not connected to an actual switched ignition or accessory wire. Grab a multimeter and make sure the voltage drops form 12 volts to 0 volts when you turn off the key? Any residual power fading thru that wire would keep the amp on causing the hum your hearing. Also the hum your hearing is caused by rca's not carrying a signal thru them when the amp is still left on. Hope this helps
