how can i get my dog to stop pulling on the leash when i'm walking her?

so i took my dog out for a walk today and she was like pulling on the leash leading me, how can i make it so she follows ME?

This sounds kind of cruel, but it worked with my dog...

1. Get your dog into "sit" and make her wait until you're ready to go for a walk.

2. Begin walking, with your dogs front legs on par with yours. When she starts to walk ahead of you, yank back on the leash while saying "NO PULL" or something to that effect, and put her in a sit again. DO NOT CONTINUE WALKING UNTIL YOUR DOG HAS OBEYED THIS COMMAND. Repeat until she realizes that the more she pulls the less you walk; this should only take around 3-5 times.

3. Once she's walking a bit better, keep her attention on you, so she won't forget her place and start pulling again. I do this by repeatedly getting my dog to sit at random intervals on our walk; works a charm.

My dog is now an absolute dream to walk, even off leash. She'll walk right beside me, and sit whenever I give the command, no matter what she's doing. It took me three months to achieve this so if it doesn't work at first, don't give up!

Also, if this training technique doesn't work you can get a pinch collar, my brother had to use it on his dog and it works quite well. However, I don't believe in getting a dog, or any other animal for that matter, to obey by force.
