Is Holding A Lollipop Fundraiser Advised?
At some stage in everyone's life will come a time when they will need or wish to raise money for a certain purpose. This can be for whatever reason, perhaps a family member gets ill, or your business is in trouble. What puts people off of doing fundraisers is they do not think they'll get enough to make it worthwhile. Never think this. There are so many ideas out there that may work when wanting to raise money. Some do incur large fees to set it up yes, but not all do. To hold a successful fundraiser attempt to do something that everyone, off all ages and backgrounds will like. One idea that will probably be popular among everyone is a lollipop fundraiser.
Does this option sound rather silly to you? Well it shouldn't, selling lollipops is a wonderful strategy for raising extra cash. And it can be achieved without needing to invest a great deal to start it up too!
Lollipops are available in large bags, some may be costly for this reason however basic flavored lollies will suffice, and these bags are actually affordable. You can sell these at really low prices but still make a good profit margin. Make sure to keep prices low to inspire more people to purchase them. Getting carried away and shooting for a higher profit margin might have a negative result.
You are able to really test out these fundraisers. For example if you wanted to do a raffle as well, more people are likely to participate when they're given a lollipop with their ticket. Or, if the fundraiser was for a specific purpose, for example breast cancer, you could sell just pink lollipops. The number of choices are endless.
It is important to look at your market and see where your fundraising idea might be best placed, a breast cancer booth may not be appropriate at a school event as an example. But in general this fundraising idea is perfect for any event.
You do not need to limit your fundraising cause to only one event. Do not think you can only go and raise money at a school fair, attend other events too like markets, special events, local or school events and really maximize your earnings.
For a low start up fee it is possible to really see profits by doing this. Just by selling a bag's worth of lollipops you can quadruple the price you paid for the bag. So whatever you are raising money for can certainly benefit from a lollipop fundraiser.
