Are dog training collars such as the Innotek Basic Trainer humane?
I can't add much to the answers you have already been given re: that these collars are fine for someone that has been taught by a professional trainer to use properly.
I just had to comment on all these people that compare a shock collar to abuse or how we should be lucky our parents didn't raise us with cattle prods LOL.
When are people going to realize that dogs are not small fluffy children and that dogs that NEED to be trained with this training aids - it can actually save lives of dogs that have crappy recalls or even dogs that are too intense and need something to get them snapped out of their intensity.
