Great Dane
How bad is it for a Great Dane to eat sugar cookies and a chocolate cupcake?
We're dogsitting, and our son's Great Dane helped himself to a couple cookies and cupcakes that had been left on the kitchen table. We are most concerned about the chocolate, but the other items probably aren't good for him either. He seems to be okay so far. Is there anything we should do for him, or be watching for in his behavior? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
He'll be fine. Of course I wouldn't make a habit of letting him get at those things 
but accidents happen. He might get a sugar high and have a slight case of diarrhea but he wont die. There was probably not enough chocolate in that cupcake to do anything bad to him anyways 
if he does get diarrhea, just give him some plain boiled rice rather than his regular dog food for dinner. This usually helps with an upset tummy in dogs and puppies. If something happens and you are very concerned, just call the vet. Asking for advice over the phone doesn't cost anything and they tend to be very helpful
