Does my Yorkie feel the cold?
I understand that Yorkie's don't have fur or a double coat, they have hair. And i've heard they feel the cold. While i'm at work i've just started leaving the heating on.
When i take her a walk i have a little fleece coat for her, which she doesn't mind wearing.
Am i being over protective about my pooch?
No Honey your not. Its true Yorke's do have hair rather than fur, you only got to brush the hair away with your fingers and immediately you see the skin. You are not over spoiling your dear little pooch, no way - sod what anyone else tells you too.
Usually dogs tend to sleep a lot when your out, so also you could try wrapping up a hot water bottle in a towel and put that under the cushion in her bed - if she is adult I doubt that she would bite it and then have water all over the place. Plus use boiling water but don;t put it in till you knows its not boiling anymore within the hot water bottle.
