is this a good idea to do with my guinea pig cage?

this is my cage for my 3 girls http://www.crazysales.com.au/rabbit-guinea-pig-pet-house-cage.html and i didn't know it was gonna be so small so what i was think of buying this http://www.crazysales.com.au/dog-pet-cat-playpen-enclosure-15343.html or something like it with a lid on top and then they can run around more and at night shut the doors on the cage in case my dog or cats get them, do u think its a good idea?
the cage i have now is very small, the size it has on that website is wrong, and its like they are all squished in there and can't move

You should only keep them in the playpen outside IF you can supervise all the time. Neighbourhood cats, dogs and other predators could easily get into that playpen. I would suggest a hutch with a run, like the ones bellow. These give plenty of room to run and eat on the grass.
