My yellow lab/pitbull mix nails always seem to be to short?
I take Daisy dog for walks often on sidewalk. She doesn't always stay on the sidewalk concrete, yet her claws despite seeing them grow to a safe length, seem to wear down to "quick" very fast. Usually within a couple of days. What gives ??
My German Rott/Labrador Retriever's nails stay pretty trimmed down as-well, and doesnt really go on much sidewalk, as I live away from town. It just depends with some dogs. It's fine though. Less grooming/nail trimming for you. Plus it's easier for the dog to be able to walk around. If the nails become too overgrown, the dog may not want to walk, thus creating a problem.
