grooming / showing coat care?
Hi I am looking for some advice on the best products to use for my Portuguese Water Dogs long wavy black coat. I am showing him and want to get a really full bodied and shiny coat. I am new to this and have just been using pet shop brands so far. Any recommendations? UK brands please. Also any grooming advice on preparation of the coat for show would be great. He never seems as fluffed out at the others although I have followed online techniques for fluff drying. Thanks.
Fluff drying is not easy. You must be sure all the area you are drying is completely dry, If it touches anything wet it will kink up. If it is the slightest bit damp it will kink up. If the dryer is too hot it will dry too fast before it gets straight. If it is too dry then it will not straighten up properly so you must dampen it again.
