Ceramic House Number
How do I attach ceramic house number tiles to the metal frame so they don't fall out?
I have purchased some gorgeous mexican tiles for the front of our house. We have a brick townhouse front, and I dont want to attach them directly to the brick, so I also got a metal frame to hold the numbers...problem is, no instructions! just placing the tiles into the frame doesnt hold them....the frame is iron, and has a thin lip all around the back to hold the tiles in place so they dont fall through... but the thing does not have a solid back, so it doesnt seem to be something I would grout. What should I use to afix the tiles into this frame so that I can hang it outside on my front without worrying that the tiles will fall out?
Glue the tiles to the metal frame. Then, use bathroom tile caulk around on the front, where the tile meets the frame. That caulk will not only help hold the tile, it will give a more finished look.
