Does the Canine Cooler really work?

I found this product online called the Canine Cooler from KV Pet & Equine. It's a bed for dogs that's supposed to cool them during hot weather. I was wondering if anyone purchased it and tried it out. Does it really work? Does it last long? Thanks so much. I really don't want my dog to die in the heat when she's outside. (I live in LA so it gets pretty hot.) Thank you!! =]
